Here at St. Ann, we are eager to continue partnering with you in growing the faith of your household.
As we look ahead, we have been working on a Faith Formation Plan that serves every level of need within our parish households. As you know we walk by faith and not by sight, but we also walk within Diocesan Guidelines. At this time, we are in a place where faith formation and youth ministry cannot gather more than ten people for more than 30 minutes. This puts us in a predicament because as our families know, our hallway is packed to the gills on a Sunday morning and Wednesday evening.
Due to this unique circumstance for our parish, the Faith Formation Staff has gathered to compile a plan. We are asking households to register at a price of $50, where you will be provided resources as you need them. These resources will serve all ages and consist of a variety of discussion points, activities, prayer experiences and more. Remember, Faith Formation begins with children and never ends. This effort will include offerings for adults and we look forward to being partners in faith.
We want to make this easy for you. The way we will send out these plans to households will be via Flocknote, snail mail, and will be available on our parish website.
With all that being said, we are particularly wanting to maintain as best we can the ways we handle the preparations for the Sacraments. Reconciliation and First Holy Communion for second graders, and Confirmation for eleventh graders, will still be gathered in groups that follow the Diocesan guidelines. Small groups following the proper social distancing procedures will meet at scheduled times at St. Ann Parish. If a parent or guardian is not comfortable with on-campus small groups, arrangements will be made for home learning.
As long as the Diocesan Guidelines state that we are limited by numbers and time, this will be our plan. As you have always been supportive of ministry at St. Ann, we hope you will continue to build the kingdom in your homes, neighborhoods, and beyond. We are open to hearing your ideas and seeing resources you find helpful so that we can share them. We are praying that we can soon gather as a whole parish and COVID will not be such a nuisance, at which time we will be reaching out for volunteers to help regather our community.
We ask that registrations be completed online by August 30th. Resources will be sent out weekly beginning September 13th. You can access the registration online by clicking here.
Please let us know if you need registration assistance.
